39 weeks and counting down the days...7 to go:)

Can you believe there is only 1 week left? I sure can't. John and I are so excited to meet our little BB aka 'Baby Birckhead'. I am still continuing to have contractions, which if you've had a baby before you know is not the most comfortable and is to some degree just sad and disheartening because you know it's not the real thing. I guess though it just is helping me to be ready for the big day. Hopefully we'll be able to give you all some good news soon.

Do I look like I'm ready to POP or what?! I've been having contractions and we actually had a 'false alarm' today but I'm trying to stay optomistic. Still smiling...or managing to anyway. 2 weeks and counting:)

35 weeks pregnant

Still feeling pretty good here, although things are definitely begining to become uncomfortable. Only 5 weeks to go:)

33 weeks pregnant

Only 7 weeks to go:) Can't believe how fast the time has gone by. Oh and here is a little glimpse of our babies room. Can't wait for it to be finished:)

John and I spent the afternoon with our friends, Peter and Christina and their daughter Nora, at the corn maze in Lodi, WI. What a beautiful day it was!

We can't believe just how much our baby has grown! Look closely for the nose and mouth in the top picture...they're there I promise. What a good looking profile! Our baby sure can pose for a picture.

These ultrasound pictures were taken yesterday at our 21 week appointment. It went very well, other than having to drink 48oz. of water and hold it in:) So far the baby looks healthy and is growing at just the right pace. These two pictures are some of my favorites. The picture on the top shows a view of the mouth and nose. Can you find them? The bottom picture, of course, is a picture of one of the legs. Our first look at the baby:)

So last week John and I finally got to go to our first OB appointments. The first one was not terribly exciting, but the second appointment was full of excitement as we finally got to see an ultrasound of our precious little baby:) The picture on the top is a view from the top of the head and the bottom picture is of the baby laying on its side. It was so amazing to actually see a glimpse of our little baby! The doctor said we were right on track with how far along I am in my pregnancy. She also said that the baby's femur bones are a week ahead of schedule...we could have a tall baby, although not very surprised there:) This ultrasound is at 17 weeks and a few days. I am now in my 18th week and feeling great.

Can't believe the baby is already 16 weeks old! Only four more weeks until we are halfway there.

Rhythm and Booms

John and I spent the evening at the home of our friends, Deb and Gordie, awaiting the fireworks display in Madison called Rhythm and Booms. For those of you who do not live in Madison, this is a fireworks display set to music. It's great having the opportunity to watch them from across the lake, and what a beautiful day it was to enjoy them.

Sunday at Indian Lake just before the rain:)

It is one day before I am 13 weeks into my pregnancy...yay! Just the littlest bit of a baby bump, however, soon enough I'm sure I won't remember what this little baby bump was like. Everytime I think about it, it is almost mind boggling to me that God has created this tiny little baby inside of me that is ever changing and growing. So amazing!! All I have to say is God is good:)

As you can see, John and I are trying to stand very still as we are surrounded by goose poop on the ground...nice picture though:)

So I thought this might be a fun picture, but really I'm just praying there are no spiders crawling on me...yuck!

Shannon and I just about 30 minutes before the rain hit. The only problem was that we were halfway around the lake...good thing it's a small lake! :) If only I would've thought to take a before and after picture.
